the sum of eigen values of 2*2 matrix is trace(sum of diagonal elements) and the product is determinant . if you know this trick then you can solve one question in all entrances ...........

I am searching whether this trick is applicable to higher order matrices 3/3,4/4 etc...

• on calculating the determinant of higher order matrices the diagonalisation is useful

i don't know about eigen values,

if any one know please comment here.

I think the question is wrong..writing kbps is different from kBps...small b stands for bit and big B stands for byte .In home the speed of internet connection speed is specified in kbps.But when we download something using firefox,download manager or torrent download speed is specified in kBps..

it is a property of all equations like

a x^n + b x^(n-1) + d x^(n-2) ...............+(*) x + c

sum = -b/a
product c/a

for second order equation we can calculate the answer from our mind.

but in the case of n-th order equations the terms with d,e,f.... arising
i m trying to find a simple trick to find the solution....

in paper 2 one question of lagrangian n lagrangian equation was there..
another question was from particle physics n dat was a relation between strange,isospin,baryon no. was given n diff particles like ^,K...etc were given n their charges were to find...
in paper 2 particle physics was dominating
