hai, generally jam is used to join the m.sc-ph.d programmes in IIT's like bombay,madras etc.,the IIT BOMBAY provide the admission to geophysics based on the jam score.it is give the msc applied geophysics and also without score andrauniversity provides the m.sc marine geophysics.your choice is good,because it gives the great opportuinites.many great companies like ONGC,and some environmental consulting companies need their services.all the best.
Answer for the anonymous : Fundamentals of physics by Halliday and Resnick and Concepts of modern physics by Arthur Beisar. You have to solve the problems at the end of each chapters in these books. That should be OK to crack JAM. All the best. Vinoth :-)
